Downward Spiral
for Wind Ensemble
"Downward Spiral" is a dark and mysterious piece that was originally written for a chamber ensemble before being adapted to Wind Ensemble. This piece prominently features the Bass Clarinet in the intro section for an extended cadenza. The title refers to the tonal centers of this work, as it cycles downwards through all 12 keys from the beginning to end.
